Ensuring IT portfolios are developed, prioritized, and optimized based on agency goals.
As organizations are challenged to “do more with less” and even “innovate with less”, the importance and visibility of sound portfolio management practices has increased. Vergys has developed a methodology that’s rooted in process improvement and business process reengineering principles to help organizations make better decision to improve their IT portfolios.
The Vergys IT Portfolio Management (ITPfM) methodology builds upon the Val IT standards, as published by ISACA. The ITPfM process involves gathering data, determining priorities, evaluating options, making decisions and then implementing those decisions. Through the ITPfM, Vergys helps organizations:
- Establish a holistic view of their investments (the current state);
- Score the investments individually against appropriate criteria; and
- Determine which IT investments should receive ongoing support.
